Probably one of my favorite layouts which I ever possessed was a layout built by Ole Bye for the Teen Association of Model Railroaders - an organization where we were both members.  The layout was a simple 4'x6' display layout but was well crafted in many ways - making running trains in circles enjoyable.

The layout was setup at train shows to help promote the organization, in particular the Northeast Region.  The layout was constructed in the mid to late 1990s by Ole and then passed down to me when I became the Northeast Region Representative in 1998.  While I had the layout, some additional scenery and details were added and a little work was done to clean up the fascia.  The layout was eventually turned over to the next Northeast Region Rep in the early 2000s and eventually retired.

To see some video of the layout in action back in the 1990s, check out the YouTube Channel here.
